Interior Design

 

  1. *The studio’s founder, Tricia Findlay, left a successful career in the commercial property field and retrained, graduating with Distinction from a highly regarded interior design school - Rhodec International / London Metropolitan University.  Setting up the design studio in 2004 her client base has grown through word-of-mouth recommendations.

THE BIDA

Tricia is an elected Associate of the British Interior Design Association (BIDA).  Membership is approved by the BIDA Board based on experience, technical and practical knowledge together with an interview process.  All members of the BIDA must abide by their Code of Conduct which serves to improve the level of service provided to our clients.


The BIDA is concerned with promoting high standards through the profession, encouraging and fostering proven design ability.  All members are required to carry full insurance cover and attend ongoing training and professional development. 


We use a contract in all our projects, specifically the RIBA/BIDA Form of Appointment for Interior Design Services (ID/05).    The contract helps to clarify the obligations and entitlements of both the client and ourselves, setting out the key points of the agreement such as what services are to be provided, time scales, payment terms etc.  This has been developed jointly by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the BIDA.

Taking inspiration from a wide range of sources, we believe that good design should evolve with the client, enhancing their way of life rather than dictating it.  In all our work, attention to detail is paramount
